Research And Application Of The MAN Network Management Technology

This thesis elaborates the importance of the Metropolitan Area Network Management, introduces the related concept of the network management, elaborates the SNMP (the Simple Network Management Protocol) and the J2EE (Java 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition) overhead construction, designs and realizes the Metropolitan Area Network Management System.The MAN network management system has two aspects the flaws: Firstly, the security is not high. The majority network management system is uses SNMPv1 or SNMPv2 develops. SNMPv1 has the very big security hidden danger, SNMPv2 although has the improvement, but is not certainly ideal; Secondly, specialized is not general, general is not careful. Overhead construction network management software roughly divides into general and special-purpose, the general network management software management is not careful. Special-purpose network management software cannot surmount the different merchant the equipment application, it only aims at some specific merchant to carry on the development.In order to solve the above flaw, the process research and the comparison, this system uses the development pattern which C/S (client/Server) and B/S (Brower/Server) unifies, used the J2EE overhead construction, the data acquisition engine has applied the SNMPv3 technology.In the beginning, this thesis emphatically introduced the network management concept, the basic network management model, the SNMP (simple network management agreement) and each SNMP edition—SNMPv1, SNMPv2 and SNMPv3. Afterwards it introduced the definition of J2EE, the architecture, the correlation essential technology and the characteristic.In the last half part of this thesis elaborated the proposing, the design and the realization of the MAN Network Management System in detail. The part of proposing in the system, has analyzed present network situation of the MAN, present network management situation of the MAN as well as the importance of the MAN network management. In the system design part, elaborated the system function request, the system design as well as the main function module detailed design. In the system realization part, explained the system various modules realization process, analyzed the algorithm for network topologic structure discovery of the MAN, the network equipment monitor and the administration module realization with emphasis.The unified MAN management system gradually will substitute for the network management system which in the MAN will do things on their own way, this will be the MAN network management development inevitable trend. Therefore, the research and application of the MAN network management technology has the vital significance.
