In this paper, we mainly discuss some issues of the implementation of VRC(vector raster conversion) in hardware, including the implementation of conic andpolygon. First, the basic raster graphics algorithms for drawing 2D primitives areintroduced, including advanced algorithms of circle and ellipse. In addition the current situation of the advanced algorithms is also involved. Second, the implementation of basic graphics in hardware is discussed in detail, the state machine flowcharts , state conversion charts and state machine charts are drawn in the paper,the implementing frame and the interfaces of VHDL are defined and the accelerated algorithm of conic is proved. On the basic of above, the mapping of high leveI programming language to hardware description language is described, some principles of the conversion of algorithm to state machine flow chart are also proposed. Fouth, the in-out interface of chip VRC and host computer are researched. Finally, the VHDL programs are simulated,synthesized and implemented with the EDAtool. |
