Study On Workflow Modeling And Analysis Based On Petri Nets

Study on the workflow technology is a new research focus on computer application field, Through the in-depth study of the workflow and the application of the workflow management system, we can significantly improve enterprise efficiency, production management level, and core competitiveness.Workflow model is one of the most functional parts in a Workflow Management System (WfMS). The study of workflow modeling mainly concerns the way to express clearly and accurately business process within actual application and especially the way to formalizing.This thesis mainly debates on the modeling of workflow management system, and its performance analysis, which is provided by the Petri nets technology. We adopt the knowledge of the stochastic Petri net and the theory of probability, to carry on the inferential reasoning about the average service time formulas of four kinds of basic structures in the workflow nets. Finally we model and carry on the analysis on the time performance of the workflow-net model by using the example of real workflow management system.
