Research Of Software Development Process Based On RUP And Agile Method

In current information society, software development agencies need method for higher quality software development imperatively. But current software development is not ideal. Many projects may not be delivered finally or can't meet the need of client. For solving these problems, many scholars researched many software development methods. Among them, Rational company's RUP (Rational Unified Process) and the agile development process represented by XP (extreme Program) which is put forward by Kent Beck are the most famous.On the basis of analysis of RUP and agile method represented by XP, considerating of current situation of domestic small and middle company, the article present a software development based on RUP and agile method—Unified-Agile Process. The article discussed the UAP model from four aspects, life cycle, character, activity and product. UAP is not only proper cutting of RUP using XP idea, but also reasonable expanding to XP using RUP idea. UAP adopt RUP's idea of phrase division and XP's principles such as rapid development, reconstruction, testing first.
