In china, management mode of IT enterprises is continuing to be rough. With the information technology playing more and more import role nowadays, its disadvantages are exposing gradually.Threrefore,IT service management is necessarily to be strengthen.A set of instruments and systems are needed to manage IT infrastructure of enterprises which can provide better,measureable,business-fitted services for enterprises to improve quantities and enficiencies of IT management.IT resource management system of enterprises is brought up under this circumstances. As one of the greatest relation databases,Oracle database is undoubtedly an important part of IT resources. From above, the importance of Oracle performance is emerging.Based on Oracle architecture and its performance tuning knowledge we have learnt, performance indexes influencing Oracle most are chosen for real-time monitoring and historical data collection.Oracle real-time monitoring plays a key role in this system. Its main purpose is to collect performance data from Oracle database in accordance with the sampling period defined by users and reflect real-time change of performance indexes from Oracle CPU,memories,I/O,sessions and other parts of Oracle database. The system adopts three-tier Browser/Server structure.Applet is used at the Client end to solve the problem of dynamic refresh on Web pages and performance data is displayed in the ways of pie graph, curve graph and bar graph. The pictures are visual foundation for Oracle DBAs to take activities in real-time monitoring and performance tunning.Purpose of developing this system is to give pratical helps to database administrators.Meanwhile, system applys MVC design patterns which make it separate for data, logic and view , flexible for code modifying, more simple in program design as well as reusing of codes.Above all, this system accomplished real-time performance monitoring and historical performance data for Oracle. It could be the basis for DBAs in performance tunning and improves quantities and efficiencies of database management greatly.
