Facing to the scene of fog, the traditional monitor system always could not work well, which is really a bad news for the public traffic, industrial production and social orders. If we can set up a well-build weather monitor mechanism, through adding new sub-system to the using systems, it will of course not only solve the monitor acquirement under bad weather, but also it can lower cost. Accordingly, as a sub-system using for upgrading the current system, our new system is full of researching and marketing value.The fog video processing system captures the real-time video information through the camera, use the DSP processor to abstract the hidden information, which could not be easily found by the normal observer and then display the scene on the screen. And in this way we can arrive the real-time monitoring under the bad weather.In this paper, I give a new fog video processing realization, and this resolution is based on TI's powerful DSP processor TMS320C DM642. In the algorism aspect, this system used some one designed for fog-picture processing and give some modification to make it could work well on the DSP system. This system absorbs the core designing thinking of TI's EVM, and also makes some modification to it to realize the video input, video processing and video output.I have given detailed content about this embedded fog video processing system, including the video capturing, the fog video processing module, video display module and also the programming knowledge under the real-time operating system DSP/BIOS. In the last part, I have given full information about the video-enhancement and processing methods.The realization given in this article has realized a high-speed, stable, and flexible platform for the fog video processing system. It could run for long time and meet the design needs. What's more this system can also be upgraded for new monitoring acquirement.
