Research On Secure Mobile Payment Protocol

With development and implementation of the mobile infrastructure and extensive application of the IC technology, Electronic Commerce is entering the era of Mobile Commerce. In the near future, mobile Commerce will be available among the world.However, mobile payment is the first problem needed to be solved for the development of Mobile Commerce. Mobile payment has the merits of convenient, efficient and economical. But security is a key issue to be addressed. During the development of mobile payment, micropayment and its security mechanisms would be the first step. As the security of micropayment increased, mobile finance service would come ture. In this paper, security protocols of mobile payment will be studied and analysed. Especially, security scheme for mobile micropayment would be studied and designed.The main contributions of this paper are as the following:1. Firstly, several security mechanisms are analyzed. The security characteristics and the weakness of some technologies such as GSM, 3G are pointed out. The implementation of ECC and WPKI in the mobile payment is also discussed.2.
