With the growing number of network services, the shortcomings that original IP network lacks quality of service warranty become increasingly critical. How to achieve QoS (quality of service) in IP network has becoming a key issue in the next generation network development. The study of DiffServ is the direction of the development of IP QoS. Under the Diffserv system, the Active Queue Management algorithm is one of the core technolog to achieve the network QoS.The main work of this paper is as follows:This paper designs a new AQM for DiffServ AF PHB which is called APIPGYR (Ada- ptive proportional integral based series compensation and position feedback compensation with Green&Yellow&Red) algorithm. Verified by using NS-2 simulations under a variety of network and traffic situations, the APIPGYR algorithm can achieve faster convergence speed and smaller queue oscillation than RIO-C algorithm.Then, based on the consideration of QoS guarantee, a QoS realization scheme which can realize many kinds of PHB such as EF,AF,BE and so on is proposed in this paper. Emulation experiments verified the validity of this scheme to realize QoS guarantee.Finally, the APIPGYR algorithm is loaded in each node of the linux kernel, using TC (traffic control) module, the scheme successfully achieves the QoS requirements of different services.
