Abstract/Summary:
Low power and small size are the characteristics that the pocket technologies'demands.Power regulation chip is responsible for regulating the system's power supply, so the efficiency of power supply will influence the system's power dissipated directly. With the characteristics of high convert efficiency and simple use, PFM being a kind of voltage conver mode is widely used. By analyzing the current mainly used DC-DC convert technologies and electric characteristic demands of design, the author proposes a kind of BOOST PFM DC-DC converter which is based on 0.6μm CMOS process in this paper.Then, using the tool of Laker-AMS and software of Hspice to design each circuit module and simulate them to get each module simulation result, the author completes the whole circuit design finally. From the simulation result, this chip can achieve the demand of convert efficiency under the different power supply mode conditions.Simple circuit constructure, high precise output voltage, low power dissipated and small size is the main characteristics of this chip.Over voltage and over current protection circuit are also integrated in this chip. Finally, the author introduces the design of layout in this paper.
