With the increasing development of portable electronic products,small size,lightweight and low power consumption have become the industry’s leading direction.The conversion efficiency of the switching power converter is up to80%,because of thisexcellent characteristic,the switching power technology has gradually replaced thelinear power technology. The switching power technology has become the mainstreamtechnology in power management.Synchronous rectification technology can furtherimprove the conversion efficiency as well as reduce the power consumption of theswitching power converter.This thesis introduces the design of a high efficiency synchronous Boost Converterfor FLASH LED driver chip.The chip is powered by lithium batteries with dual-channelconstant current output. The chip has two operation mode: FLASH MODE and MOVIEMODE.This thesis details the selection process of the chip’s system topologyarchitecture,operating mode and modulation mode.Detail electrical parameters anddesign specifications are given in this thesis. And the system loop is analyzed. The loopcompensation technology for the chip is detailed too. In order to help the reader easilyunderstanding the working principle and the chip design process, the thesis also detailsthe design process of key modules of the chip. Corresponding simulation waveforms aregiven as well. The chip has been successfully taped out and produced using the HEJIAN0.5μm standard CMOS technology. The system functional simulation and chip testresults are given in Chapter7.
