Development And Improvement On Multiple Access Protocols In Wireless Self-organized Networks

As a kind of wireless network architecture, mobile self-organized network becomes more and more popular. The design of MAC protocol and especially the multiple access part is the key technology in wireless network. Both the IEEE802.11 MAC distributed coordination function and distributed PRMA protocol are chiefly studied in this paper, the main work and achievements are shown as follows:1. This paper describes IEEE 802.11 DCF access method in detail, represents the concrete software modules design of core function of DCF. The work of MAC access is accomplished on the platform based on ARM, and several kinds of backoff algorithms which can improve the transmission performance are researched.2. According to the advantage of CSMA multiple access in DCF, this paper presents a distributed PRMA design based on the combination of CSMA and TDMA, which guarantees the voice and data transmission of several stations in the same hop-frequency network.
