The infrared radiation characteristic of terrain surface is widely applied in military, geology, meteorological phenomena and agriculture fields. The infrared radiation temperature field indicates the infrared radiation characteristic of the background and target, and has important significance in the research of the target and surrounding.In this paper, the main factors affecting the soil-vegetation mixed terrain surface temperature fields are analyzed, which based on the soil-vegetation radiation characteristic. The soil-vegetation mixed terrain surface temperature field statistical characteristic is presented. The mixed terrain surface temperature fields is transformed into the infrared radiance fields, which based on the terrain surface infrared radiation characteristic theoretical calculation and mixed temperature fields statistical property, The mixed terrain surface infrared radiance fields and related parameters are also fixed. The parameters of the infrared radiation are researched, and the mixed terrain surface infrared radiation characteristic in different vegetation coverage fraction is put forward. Finally, the mixed terrain surface infrared image characteristic is analyzed. The results as follows: variations and correlation length of temperature field have the characteristic of Normal Distribution. The radiation parameter is composed of the linear sum of each parameter. Variations and correlation length of radiance field are decreasing while vegetation coverage fraction increasing.
