Virtual reality is an important component of computer simulation. It plays an important role in the domain of industrial designing, commercial manufacture, virtual architecture, virtual combat environment, entertainment and so on. The sticking point of virtual reality is real-time rendering of virtual scene. With the diccussion of various former methods and technologies, several algorithms are presented in this dissertation to simulate different objects in the scene. These algorithms can accelerate rendering speed and improve the quality of image. At the same time, a cruise is implemented in the virtual scene in this dissertation.With the former algorithms and new methods in this dissertation, a scene of missile's attack is simulated. The following algorithms are presented in this dissertation.Virtual sence is generated with method of Skybox based on OpenGL, and the realism of the scene is enhanced. Fast modeling of missile based on OpenGL and 3DS MAX, the missile is modeled rapidly. With the combination of particle system and texture blending, the flame of missile is simulated realistically.The above algorithms lead to little calculation, reduce the difficulty of program and improve the realistic iamge of scene. At last this paper simulated the scene of missile's attack successfully and implemented a cruise based on Visual C++6.0 and OpenGL sorftware platform.
