| It is the human interest that greatly moves people. News with human interest is popular with readers because it is in accordance with the human being's overall feelings and affections. So it is significant to search for the way to protrude news reports with human interest so as to upgrade the readability and approval of news reports in the competitive newspapering market.Though the human interest is an old label for news value, it has not been clearly and completely dissertated in our country. For that, this dissertation clearly states the concept of human interest value and considers that it consists of two aspects: news story and news texts. The former is the inherent value property of news story and the latter is the value property that is created by journalists. Furthermore, this dissertation reviews the human's overall feelings and affections, and demonstrates the function and significance of human interest.Reviewing the newspaper history of both foreign countries and China, it is found that the human interest of news was either overestimated or underestimated according to different conditions. There are something worthy of affirming and learning in American human interest story, and in some civil news reports in our civil newspapers since the new period. Thus, the last chapter of the dissertation pays more attention to news practice and advances the viewpoint that journalists can adequately explore the human interest factors to make readable, acceptive and popular news by way of considering reporting principles, theme choosing and writing techniques. |
