Research and design realization of large communication and fee-computing gateway system is concerned in this paper. Objects researched involves two projects of large gateway systems for short message service hierarchy system, they are Micro Payment System and Short Message Proxy Gateway System.Micro Payment System is a fee-computing gateway system, through which handset user can pay by short messages. Some relevant protocols and criterions of China Mobile Communication Corporation are studied and analyzed. From the view of development and design, hierarchy structure, together with realization of communication and transaction procedure of Micro Payment System are discussed. The interior structure of Micro Payment System, the summary design of function modules, along with technical realization means for core modules, are put forward. A systematic solution for handset paying service is provided.Research and detailed design realization of Short Message Proxy Gateway System for the three Chinese telecom operators, is the emphasis of this paper. Some relevant protocols and criterions of these operators are studied and analyzed. A set of project design and realization techniques for the integrated proxy gateway system with plenty of functions, is put forward, which is based on Client/Server structure, high-speed, safe, stable and reliable. The proxy gateway system provides a uniform short message access platform for subordinate service providers, the difficult problem of short message inter-communication between different operator' s gateways based on different protocols is solved as well. Communication is separated from service, and protocol modularization concept is adopted in the system design. Asynchronous duplex concurrent communication combined with store and forward mechanism, that is fast soft-switching technical hierarchy, is adopted. High-speed transmission performance, reliable automatic data protection and backup mechanism, perfect system supervisory and automatic maintenance mechanism, are all provided in the proxy gateway system.
