| The object of IPTV Set Top Box task is using Internet Protocol and offering multimedia service including TV program, which is according to the network establishment and home TV or PC display. IPTV Set Top Box has vivid feature, which can realize intercommunion of the media provider and media consumer. IPTV Set Top Box can configure many multimedia service, which includes digital TV program, IP video phone, DVD/VCD, surf on internet, e-mail, many information consultation online, amusement, education and business affairs.This article is about IPTV Set Top Box research and realization. Our study content consists of hardware and software. The hardware includes main chip, memory, demodulator, circle channel, CA, extern memory and video&audio output. The software can be divided into application layer, middle layer and driver layer. Each contains many processes and interfaces. IPTV Set Top Box is composed of three absolute subsystems: TV part, PC part, CA (conditional access). Besides, this dissertation makes a brief introduction of the system platform and other aspects.This item has already produced several samples. Through debugging and testing, all system including software and hardware is applicable. |
