A Study On Agent-based Hospital Information-managing System

Traditional Hospital Information-managing System(HIMS) is a sort of passive information service. With the development of computer and network technology, the new HIMS need not only to extend content, scope and function of the information service, but to possess intelligence. So it is a trend in the research and development of the Intelligence Hospital Information-managing System.The intelligent agent technology is utilized in HIMS in this thesis. A complex task in HIMS is divided into several small tasks, which are executed by cooperative agents. First, the basic communicating behavior, mechanism, and protocols among the agents are analysed. Then the fundamental theories and implementing techniques of the coordination among the agents are researshed. Tasks are devided according to the functions of HIMS. The coordinative model of agent-based HIMS is proposed. The core structure is designed and implemented. Then the message handler, blackboard, planner, cooperation engine, cooperator model and businees processing modules are designed and implemented basing on the agent structure. On the above basis, a proto type of HIMS based on the agent is accomplished.The introduction of the agent technology in HIMS makes it more automative and intelligent. The system has been put into use, increasing the flexibility and effectiveness of HIMS.
