The complexity of the network and the business management has been increasing with quick development of the telecommunication industry every day. The traditional TMN standard mainly concerns establishment of the management function and standard information model below network layer, but less concerns the support of the distributeed processing. Actually, as the telecommunication market open increasingly , various net elements under management , related management information of the telecommunication business, and the management entity of the function of TMN, all distributed, logically and physically, in the whole telecommunication net and usually be placed in the dynamic conditions. The traditional TMN standard has already shown its limitation in various management applications. The CORBA, as a means of realization of distributed object management, is a promising standard for systems integration, which provides a interoperation standard for object-oriented appliacation. By adopting the CORBA techniques, TMN with three layers has strong scalability. The CORBA can connect other professional subnets smoothly with the minimum price, and realize integrated network management systems in real sense. In this thesis, based on the analysis of the existing TMN structure and common request broker architecture, CORBA, a disscusion of applications of CORBA in the TMN was given. And a TMN framework was formed, based on these studies, which can be used in establishing TMN in complex heterogenous networks environment. The author also designed Dezhou city network management central systems, using above research results, including information organization and system logic etc.. The author also implemented fault management subsystem in the process of development of local telephone management systems.
