With the development of Micro Electronics, Power Electronics, specific integrated chips and Control Theory, applying new motion control algorithm and developing full digital control system have become mainstream research. TI 2000 series'DSP, which integrates numerous on-chipped memories and peripheral circuits used for motion control, provides highly efficient solutions for control system and has been widely used in motion control industry.This paper concentrates on research of motion control system from aspects of theory and practice. Characteristics of different motion control schemes are concluded. Signal detect methods are studied in much more details as well based on daily-used motion control systems. Meanwhile, a kit of motion control development platform is made by TMS320LF2407A and a new motor drive module, which uses AC-DC-AC inverter topology. Faults locking and detecting circuits is consisted by comparators. Eventually, this research presents software packages for the hardware platform and provides users good assistant software. Also it gives a solution for PMSM vector control algorithm on this platform, which easies the development process of motor control algorithm and DSP teaching.Such AC induction asynchronous motor, PMSM and BLDC motors can be drove by this development platform, which is versatile and convenient to fit high-precision, high-efficiency and wide-speed-range application areas. It is a good support for motion control system development and also can be used in DSP training courses.
