Research On Service And Network Architecture In GSM-R Intelligent Network Planning Of China

As the primary mode used in railway dispatching communication, GSM-R has been successfully applied in the railway of China. At present, we have constructed GSM-R network on Qinghai-Tibet line, Datong-Qinhuangdao line and Qingdao-Jinan line. At the same time, we have introduced the intelligent network technology, which supplies some railway services facilitating the railway dispatching communication.The large-scale construction of GSM-R in China will start in the near future. All railway lines need intelligent network. So, we need to do a unified planning about the national intelligent network construction. The planning here means researches on service, network architecture and network performance from the overall perspective.Firstly, this paper analyzes the characteristics of GSM-R intelligent network and summarizes the speciality of its planning; also emphasizing two most important issues are service and network architecture. Then, it deeply does some researches on the two issues. About the service, it pays attention to the new problems which will happen in the future and the corresponding solutions. About the network architecture, it puts forth three schemes, makes a contrast between them and gives a feasible proposal. Expect these researches and suggestions about the GSM-R intelligent network planning can provide direction to the national GSM-R intelligent network construction in China.
