Recently, embedded technology is developing very fast. The ES (Embedded System) refers to a kind of special computer, centering on application, based on computer technology, and tailored to meet the system's requirement for function, reliability, cost, volume as well as power consumption and etc. The products with both embedded OS (Operating System) and 32 bits RISC CPU are the most advanced in the ES. Furthermore, the ones with ARM processor and Linux OS become main force in the High End ES. Relevant embedded technology is deepening and improving.In this design, we take the advantage of Linux embedded technology with hardware's core of ARM9 and FPGA after deep researching, and implement the ES facing ultrasonic detection devices (the medical type-B and Color Doppler Ultrasonic device, the industrial type-A Ultrasonic device).We describe technology features, development process, and notices of the ES based on experiences during R&D course of the actual embedded ultrasonic equipments. Furthermore, we analyze the technical problems confronted with in the development process. Taking the features of embedded computer for ultrasonic detection devices into consideration, two kinds of preferable embedded platform, including both the hardware and the software, are designed.Starting from the technical range covered by actual R&D projects, we research the following items: The design of embedded computer hardware's platform, including allocation of address space and interrupt resources, drawing of schematic circuit diagram and PCB, debugging method and skill of the ES and etc; The software's composing factors of the ES, including Bootloader, Kernel, File System, GUI and etc; The Linux device driver, including Net, USB, DOC and etc; The ES's common video solution, including flexible application of CRT, TV, LCD and the digital signal processing focused on ultrasonic signal, including Self adaptive Band-Pass Filter Design and Wavelet Denoising and so on.
