Uniform Identity Authentication System In Heterogeneous Integration Environment

In the past several years, more and more information systems are deployed in enterprises, schools, and governments. More and more requirements for sharing data among these systems, and rebuilding the workflow cross different system borders are like bamboo shoots after a spring rain. So EAI is the research hot area in recent years, and it triggers many new integration technologies in the research area emerging. EAI has different levels: people integration, business data integration, and workflow integration. People integration focuses on integrating employee or customer information in different systems, especially, personal identity information. It will make the higher-level integration such as business data integration and workflow integration possible. In the process of designing, developing, and maintaining the variable software, user management modules for these systems are different in contents and methods. Meanwhile, another negative factor of EAI is that every system has its own authentication system and usually they cannot share data with others, and cannot accept authentication requirements from users of other systems. We must resolve the useless redundancy authentication and make sure the integrated system has the same or higher secure level. How to manage user identity information in the EAI environment, how to design and develop authentication technologies integration platform, and how to deploy authentication integration system in EAI environment are valuable research areas.Analyzed the authentication integration specialties and difficulties in the EAI environment, researched the up to date functions and designs of authentication technologies and enterprise level uniform authentication products, the author derived and put forward a flexible, stable, realizable authentication framework for distributed and heterogeneous system. It takes advantage of directory service, SOA technology, Agent theory, CA and so on, and is a completed authentication solution for heterogeneous environment.At last, it describes how to integrate other software systems and authentication technologies in representative project with the authentication integration architecture, and evaluates the design of the authentication integration system from performance, security, and practicability aspects. It proves that the authentication integration system has great practice value. It has been purchased by almost twenty customers, and played a key role in the information integration projects of these customers.
