Researches And Implementation Of Directory Services In Heterogeneous Data Integration System

With the rapid development of network technology in various fields of the society and the continuous accumulation of network resources, the massive data sharing and the uniform management of heterogeneous data sources (structured, half-structured, unstructured) have been already utmost urgent. The business enterprises always need to integrate a great quantity of heterogeneous data in DBMS, MIS, and OA etc. and to set up a network information platform used for management decision. It is a valid resolution to these problems to establish heterogeneous data integration system, so it has been the research focus of academia that research, design, and construction of heterogeneous data integration system currently.One indispensable function of heterogeneous data integration system is to locate the heterogeneous data resource objects, and to return information of these objects fleetly and accurately to the application programs that need use it; another essential function is to manage and dominate these resource objects intently. These are the virtues and radical attributes of directory service. When heterogeneous data integration system administrates information integrated in it, directory service is the compendium of it, so the directory service is extremely important and irreplaceable for heterogeneous data integration system.SDS (SORE Directory Service) is researched, designed and constructed based on SORE prototype system that has been established by out research team, functional requirement of SORE, and the current correlative techniques and research harvest.It will be improved that the consistency, integrality, validity, and efficiency of information access and management of SORE, after the SDS is implemented, at the meantime integral running quality and function of SORE will be raised and optimized.
