In recent years, it has become a hot spot which research on modeling and rendering of natural phenomena. Beautiful clouds have been widely used in flight simulation and virtual control of the scene. It has complicated activities and various shapes which unpredictable. It is the current bottle neck that how to simulate a vivid three-dimensional dynamic cloud. This paper focuses on how to improve the calculation of simulation, so as to find a solution to simulate and draw a real cloud. The work bears great significance in theory and reality.Firstly, the author offers a generating algorithm distributed equally of random in Random Midpoint Displacement of fractal geometry. It can solve the problem such as: complications of the calculation, low speed of the image production and limited resolution etc. It also avoids the false random .And then, it controls the growth and the dissipation of clouds. Moreover, through the improved Random Midpoint Displacement and coordinated with CPU and GPU, it can boost fidelity and calculating efficiency of cloud.Secondly, it uses the gray level to express the two-dimension image. For maintaining its self-similarity, it takes use of the improved vertical Texture segmentation. Through superposition of secondary veins, the veritably dynamic effect of cloud is achieved. Finally, the experiment of cloud simulation is conducted in order to verify the algorithm. The result shows that the real three-dimension image is produced. It also indicates that the two-dimension image produced with the improved method full reflects fractal character of the typical natural landscape and better displays gradient of the cloud in the process of changing, yet not jerky. The three-dimension cloud produced in the improved way maintains the characteristics of the two-dimension cloud, has a vivid stereoscopic feeling.
