The frequency control system and the algorithm of the foreign fiber elimination device were researched and realized.The Pulse-Width-Modulation technology was used to design the frequency control system circuit. The core control unit of the frequency control system is the 16 bit 80C196MC made by Intel Corporation. The control system was divided into the CPU, the digital signal input and output circuit, the simulated signal circuit, the data save part and the interface circuit such as keyboard, display and so on.In accordance with the raw cotton image processing result, the raw cotton transfer velocity was modified real-time. It make sure the foreign fiber eliminated high efficiency and timeliness.To maximize extraction function, the algorithm of the foreign fiber elimination device was researched. According to the foreign fiber image position, corresponding nozzle work to make the foreign fiber eliminated. In the system 16 nozzles were used and 2048 images were set in every line.The programmable logic chip FPGA was used to control the nozzle. The signal response time delay of the spurt valve and the spurt valve jet time length were controlled by FPGA. It make sure the foreign fiber eliminated prompt, accurate and clearly. The algorithm can meet the system accuracy and the real-time request, has the actual value.
