Research Of Web Browser For Industry Control Configuration Software Running Subsystem

With the development of computer, communication and related field, especially the rapid development of network and field bus, the internal and external configuration softwares also support the network function. Many automation software companies product the configuration software based on web. At present, the web browsers on operate system of client are applied in most running subsystem of web configuration software, such as IE (Internet Explorer), Netscape and etc. However, the function and the structure of common browser are complex. In order to facilitate the configuration operation, increase the security and quicken the speed of browser, the complex functions of IE are cut down and the special functions for configuration software are expanded.The structure of web configuration software based on ActiveX technique is put forward and the customized browser is embedded into the structure. The web configuration software is divided into three parts: the ActiveX control library, the container of controls and the customized browser, which improves the efficiency of development. The method of data access and the property of browser are studied. Some methods of interacting with IE are analysed, meanwhile the advantages and disadvantages are concluded. (The methods include using REGEDIT, group strategy, plug-in technology and interacting with COM interface to access IE.)Using REGEDIT, interacting with COM interface and Visual C++ programming environment to customize browser for configuration software are researched and realized. According to the Web configuration software, the basic functions of browser are reserved, including toolbar, address bar, multiple windows, navigation, favorite, cookies and cache management. The configuration operation is facilitated by expanding the functions of real-time refreshment and project management, the security of system is also enhanced by expanding the functions of navigation limited and forbidding viewing source file. The timer functions of MFC (Microsoft Foundation Class) are used to realize the real-time refreshment. The function of forbidding viewing source file is realized by interacting with IDocHostUIHandler interface. XML is used as database to conserve the URLs for project management and navigation limited functions. The XML files are parsed by MSXML which is based on DOM (Document Object Model).
