Design And Implement Of The Feature Server In Vocal System

This paper analyzes an open source VoIP system - Vocal, which is based on SIP, and implements Feature Server of this system. Vocal is an open source VoIP system provided by CISCO, Vocal is an integrated SIP communication system - include a SEP stack according to RFC3261 and each server in VoIP system. But due to the poor design of CPL files storage, there are a great deal of redundancy data communication between Feature Server and Provisioning Server, this lead to an inefficient performance of Feature Server. They must be improved or re-created for a VoIP provider.This paper designs and implements an efficient and flexible Feature Server based on the SIP stack in Vocal system. The new scheme picks up common information in CPL files to reduce data communication between Feature Server and Provisioning Server. At the same time, the employ of database, multi-thread and memory database technic improved the stability and efficiency.
