Research On QoS Guarantee Of Daqin-Line LOCOTROL System Based On GSM-R

For the goal of annual transportation for 400-million-ton coal in "11^th five years", the running safety and reliability of LOCOTROL system based on GSM-R plays an important role. This thesis analyzes the problems from actual running of LOCOTROL system on Daqin Line and then discusses the schemes of coverage planning and introduces the methods for network reference optimization related to handover in order to contribute to Daqin Line.This thesis first points out the advantage of GSM-R as the communication basis of LOCOTROL system on Daqin Line according to the requirements for running of twenty-thousand-ton locomotives. Then it introduces the structure and communication process of LOCOTROL system based on GSM-R and analyzes targets of Quality of Service of LOCOTROL system. Thereafter, it introduces GSM-R network structure on Daqin Line and analyzes QoS requirements of GSM-R by LOCOTROL system. This thesis then analyzes reasons of abnormal interruptions of LOCOTROL system on Daqin Line. It first introduces terrain of Daqin Line, analyzes problems of tunnel coverage and interference, and then analyzes problems of handovers, for example, Pingpong Handover.The part which discusses solutions for QoS of Daqin Line based on GSM-R is the core of this thesis. It first calculates transmitting attenuation in tunnels and discusses coverage schemes for different kinds of tunnels. Then, it performs calculations and interference analysis of repeaters around tunnels on Daqin Line. At last, it analyzes problems in handovers and introduces solutions through network reference optimization.The end of this thesis shows the prospect of Daqin Line and points out the further research aspects and tasks for the future.
