With the expansion of the power grid tunnel and tunnel network, guaranteeing the safe and stable operation of cable tunnel has become a top priority. The development of the inspection robot automation provides an effective way for cable tunnel safety inspection, however, the special circumstances of cable tunnel seriously restrict the communication distance and quality of traditional antenna system, which makes it difficult for mobile communications of inspection robot. Furthermore, the communication cables for inspection robot would be heavily influenced by the electromagnetic produced by the power cable in the cable tunnel. However, the research on this area is still blank at home and abroad. Therefore, this paper presents a cable tunnel inspection robot communication system based on leaky cables, and studies the inductive coupling effects of the high-voltage power cable tunnel to communication lines according to the actual situation of cable tunnel.First, this paper studies the leaky cable communication technology and optical fiber communication technology. On this basis, we complete the design of communication system for the cable tunnel inspection robot, and give the detailed design process build the communication system. Then, based on the image method, an improved method is proposed to calculate electric field interference on communication cable lines due to the power cable line in cable tunnels. The magnetic field interference on communication cable lines due to the power cable line in cable tunnels was studied from the basic theory of the electromagnetic field. Furthermore, a parametric analysis is performed to show how the electromagnetic interference affected communication cable lines and provides insight on how to control the electromagnetic interference. Finally, take the underground cable tunnels in Beijing as example, we analyze and calculae the interference caused by the magnetic influence, and on this basis, we analyze the process of building a robot communication system and the feasibility.
