A Study On Development Of Library Resource Sharing In Network Environment In China

Information resource Sharing is an important objective of libraries research. No library can meet user's all information need. Especially in network environment, information resource and literature is increasing exponential. Without a library can collection all literatures and build a "small and complete" or "big and complete" collection system. To improve the ability of providing the information resources , libraries must cooperate to improve its service ability.Resource sharing is related to resource joint building. Resource sharing based on resource joint building. With the improvement of information technology and internet, digital literatures like e-books, network literatures increase more and more. The scope of information resource joint building and sharing is more extensive, the way of resource sharing is more advanced. Library must take part in the resource joint building with new technology. So the library can implement the resource sharing and provide the better service to users.From the object of library-----meet the user's needs and provide theinformation service, the paper analyzes the development of resource sharing and gives some advices to develop resource sharing. In Part 2, the paper summarizes the development of the resource sharing. In part 3, On the build of libraries, the paper describes database building, co-collection and the copyright issue which the library must face to, and analyzes some barriers at present. In part 3, the paper describes interlibrary loan and document delivery, unite catalogue, co-reference and user training. In Part 5, the paper analyzes the development trends of resource sharing. In part 6, the paper gives some advices to develop library resource joint building and sharing. We should reinforce the construction of database; We should develop information services; We should propel the standardization in the resource joint building and sharing and we should often training our users, etc.
