Abstract/Summary:
Economic globalization witnesses an increase in scale and complexity of trans-enterprise businesses, which consequently brings new challenges to work flow research by demanding low-cost enterprise applications adapting to rapidly changing business process and synergies in heterogeneous environments. Most traditional work flow systems are centralized applications and only handle static business processes. Poor modularization and independent work flows for each application system have made the reliability, flexibility, development cycle and cost an ever-increasing problem for enterprise applications. The Petri Net-based design of the distributed dynamic workflow component system supports dynamic modification of work flow. Compared with other modeling approaches, it can briefly express rich semantics. The Distributed SOA framework applying Web Service Technology can better integrate enterprise services seamlessly. The component-based development provides the upper application an operating set, which offers a shortcut to the rapid development of workflow-based enterprise applications. In this paper, the author designs and implements a component distributed dynamic workflow system. The system supports dynamic modeling, applies distributed engines to parallel computing and business processing, and implements the integration of enterprise applications with components. The paper first introduces work flow technology, software architecture, and other related technologies, explains the design concept and objective of the component, and then describes the critical technologies in the implementation. The critical technologies are mainly described in the following four sections: Component Packaging Design, Workflow Model and Process Definition, Dynamic Workflow Engine Design and Distributed Architecture Design. Finally, Chapter IX makes a conclusion and brings forwards further prospects.
