This paper introduces the design and implementation of a dynamic foot measuring system based on stereo vision., driven by a 3D model. This system uses several cameras to capture image sequences, then transforms information of 2D images into 3D data, and get several 3D models of foot from the given image sequence.This system consists of three parts: image capturing, reconstructing 3D foot model of the first frame. and the part of reconstructing the next deformated foot models.. In this paper, we focus our research emphasis on the reconstructing of the part which do the rigid transformation.This system implements a hardware platform of foot measuring, which configures cameras based foot's feature and collects foot images sequences. Image capturing module could dynamically control the hardware platform and real-time capture images; then with the the intrinsic and extrinsic parameters of camera; and the model of the first frame ,we reconstruct the models of the next frames.This paper introduces the work process of whole system, the theories of system implementation, include feature points matching, stereo vision based 3D reconstruction. The paper explains the two methods of feature points matching in the system and and the reconstructing algorithm. In addition, the paper also shows some experiment results At last, the paper summarizes the work has been done, and expects the future developing.
