RCS (Radar Cross Section) is a key factor in designing stealth weapons, so the research of radar targets scattering characteristics has become the foundation of stealth technologies. To get radar targets scattering information, computer simulation has been widely used nowadays, and the high frequency scattering predication methods have been proved effective in large complex targets electromagnetic scattering computation.Beam Trace is an efficiency way to compute the transmission, reflect, and the diffraction ray or wave from the source point in the geometrical acoustic modeling. Dividing the geometrical 3D model space into a series of convex package, then we trace convex polyhedral beams from the location of each sound source, constructing a "beam tree" representing the regions of space reachable by potential sequences of transmissions, diffractions, and special reflections at surfaces of a 3D polygonal model. Then, during an interactive phase, we use the pre-computed beam trees to generate propagation paths from the source(s) to any receiver location at interactive rates. This paper improves traditional electromagnetic scattering simulation method base on the Beam Trace theory, mainly focuses on two principal scattering mechanisms, including facet scattering and multi-scattering. GO (Geometrical Optics) method for multi-reflection between facets. The above parts are added together as the total electromagnetic scattering result. This article use the improved Beam Trace Method to compute the RCS, it mainly deal with the problems as fallows: 1) it scales to support large architectural environments through the construction of BSP tree, 2) by a new method of diffraction computation, it models propagation due to wedge diffraction 3) it finds all propagation paths up to a given termination criterion without exhaustive search or risk of under-sampling, and 4) it updates propagation paths at interactive rates rely on pre-computation.Applying the electromagnetic scattering theory with computing and visualization technologies, we developed an integrated high frequency scattering predication system. Our system is proved to be easier to reuse and maintain, as we use object-oriented methods to design the system.
