It is important to develop the radar cross section precise predicting approaches for both the generation of databases for target identification and the studies towards the reduction of scattered fields. In this paper, the focus is on the computation of the radar cross section of electrically large perfect conducting targets. The targets are modeled with parametric surfaces based on non-uniform rational B-spline. The approach to the analysis of RCS is physical optics coupled with physical theory of diffraction. Physical optics (PO) is to obtain surface contribution and physical theory of diffraction (PTD) for edge diffraction contribution. The PO integration is solved by Gordon method. The necessary techniques of model subdivision, shadowing judgment and ray tracing algorithm also be involved. All the approaches is programmed by Fortran and some models are presented to prove the accuracy and demonstrate the application.
