Abstract/Summary:
ATM is the basic technology that makes B-ISDN possible. It not only has the ability that integrates voice, video, data etc multi-service, but also, ATM supports the high-speed information convection and the Quality of Service.Based on the National Defense Pre-Research Project "Wireless Integrated Access System" and application research project "Wireless and Wire Broadband Integrated Access Platform", this paper focuses mainly on the key technologies of the AAL5 adaptation of Ethernet service and the design and implement of ATM Signalling Adaptation Layer.First, the design and application scheme of the Broadband Integrated Access Equipment (NAU), and also the functions and principles of various modules in NAU are introduced. Next, this paper mainly discusses the AAL5 adaptation of Ethernet service, the key technologies of AAL5 adaptation, and the technology of AAL5 adaptation of ATM signalling. At last, the test and debugging methods of AAL5 adaptation module are presented in the environment of embedded real time Operation System VxWorks' multitask. In practice testing, good performance shows that the software has been well designed.
