The scheme argumentation and performance evaluation of radar system are accomplished efficiently by simulation of radar system, shorten designing period and reduced development cost, and thus radar system can be optimum designed conveniently and efficiently.Using Simulink simulation software, first the target environment sub-library and radar signal processing sub-library are established. Modeling, simulation and evaluation techniques are emphasized, and then three typical radar systems such as non-coherent radar, three-dimensional radar and PD radar are established and simulated, how to evaluate the performance of these systems is introduced, and the simulated results are presented. Taking airborne PD radar as an example, detection performance, anti-jamming performance, measurement accuracy of angle, detection factor and improve factor of some blocks are analyzed and evaluated. Last the established models are used to process and analysis measured data of airborne PD radar and radar seeker to detect the targets and verify the correctness of all the models again.The models established in this paper are hierarchy models, they are convenient to transplant and modify. They perfect the radar system software library, and provide good foundation for simulation and application of radar system.
