Optical correlation detection and recognition is a part of optical information processing, it has high parallel processing, high-capacity. In this paper, we use the real-time joint transform correlator to detect, recognize and locate, the speed of procession is fast, the accuracy of detection and recognition is very high.In practice, because the target image has a lot of ground noise and the change of displacement, rotation and scale, it makes joint transform correlator hard to recognize target.Based on the research of distortion invariance, we derive multiple templates method, and use it in optical correlation target to auto detect and recognize. This paper discusses clutter ground target recognition when scale and rotation are changed. By using multiple templates, it increases the range of measurement and gets good result. We also study correlation filter.
