With the development of the society, package takes a more and more important part, and there are increasingly sorts and numbers of the package. Carton-package is the-first class because of its particular merit in all kinds of the package. The quality of paper-package and production-benefit of enterprise have been challenged under the commercial economy. Packaging industries apply CAD/CAM technology with the development of the computer. It satisfies people for the requirement of package, and there appeared a variety of packaging CAD software. Nowadays, users and manufacturers are not satisfied with the original CAD software system anymore. What they expected is the packaging software with stronger function, which is based on the high-demanded 3D display. It has changed tremendously in Computer Aided Design from 2D to 3D of package industry. However, there exist some 3D carton CAD systems that do not achieve the real 3D structure for data processing. We create a kind of well- shifted packaging-carton CAD special software by the rational data structure and OpenGL--a powerful 3D graphics library. The software combines parametrization design with flexibility design in order to satisfy the request of different level carton-packaging designer. It supplies a standardization carton structure library by which we can design a suit size carton through modifying the parameter of the carton we choose. Also, it allows users to design the carton at the beginning by themselves. The software can also realizes animation processing such as rotation, unwrapping, forming and so on as well as other 3D render processing such as texture mapping and so on.
