With the development of the society,package takes a more and more important part,and there are increasingly sorts and numbers of the package.Carton-package is the-first class because of its particular merit in all kinds of the package.The quality of paper-package and production-benefit of enterprise have been challenged under the commercial economy.Packaging industries apply CAD/CAM technology with the development of the computer.It satisfies people for the requirement of package,and there appeared a variety of packaging CAD software.Nowadays,users and manufacturers are not satisfied with the original CAD software system anymore.What they expected is the packaging software with stronger function,which is based on the high-demanded 3D display.It has changed tremendously in Computer Aided Design from 2D to 3D of package industry. Some packaging CAD software manufacturers begin to develop 3D package industry,which is the trend of the packaging CAD in the future.We create a kind of well-shifted packaging-carton CAD special software by the rational data structure and OpenGL-a powerful3D graphics library. The software supplies a standardization carton structure library and the parametric function by which we can get a suit size carton through modifying the parameter of the carton we choose. The Project adopts the DXF file format as the carton strueture unwrap drawing's final file storage format.It is easy to import and export data with AutoCAD environment. In addition, the DXF file format offers a convenience for the latter technics(Plate making by laser mould machine.etc).
