The Study Of Designing The Humane Interface Of Internet Protocol Television

The appearance of Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) represents emergence of a new media and a breakthrough of a new generation of interface. IPTV's interface not only integrates features of mainstream medium interface, but also represents the highest level of the developing of medium interface as well. The thesis tries to analyze by study what is human-oriented interface of IPTV, and how to realize humane design of IPTV's interface, thereby concludes a set of principles for the reference of designing interface of IPTV in this circle.With two clues, the thesis firstly introduces function, feature and transaction mode of IPTV. Then it discusses interface design from four aspects—developing trend of interface, designing principles of human-oriented interface, features of three mainstream medium interface (computer, TV, telephone), typical characteristics of IPTV's interface. Through analyzing three qualities of interface—possibility, feasibility and Desirability, the thesis makes a conclusion that the principles of humane design are based on three levels—human-oriented, interactive and intelligent. The thesis finally describes the process of design, evaluation and developing direction of IPTV's humane interface.
