Research And Actualize On Web Application System Testing Technology

With the wide using of Web application system, the Web application testing becomes more and more important. Because WEB applications have features of distribution, concurrent and independence of platform, WEB applications testing is more difficult than traditional software testing. Therefore, new challenges have flung down in the software testing areas.In this article, based on the analyzing of the architecture and characters of the Web application system, comparing the difference between Web application system and traditional software, indicates the influence to the test of Web application. In addition, the Web statistic testing is introduced from the analyzing of the type, model and process of Web application system. One Web statistic test model WSUM, which is based on the chart of Navigation behavior and log files, is brought forward. Then, we described the detailed test process of using WSUM model to compose test case. At last, the Web statistic testing strategy is brought forward based on the using rate of individual test case and risk.The content and method of Web performance testing are also analyzed in this article. The Web performance testing model WPTM, which includes the targets, argument and indicator, is brought forward. Based on the Web performance testing process, and in order to exactly simulate the actions of users, there are three models in the WPTM when users create test scenario. They are the User Navigation model, the User Delay model and User Abandon model.Based on the above analysis and two Web application models, WSUM and WPTM. There are two tools are implemented for Web application testing. One is Web performance testing tool named WPT, which is based on the Web performance test model WPTM. And the other one is Web testing management tool named WTM, which is based on Web statistic testing model WSUM.
