The Development Of Network Driver For DM9000 On S3C2440 Board In VxWorks

With the development of computer technology, the embedded system is used to more and more fields, including intelligent process control, navigation and spaceflight, traffic, flight technology, communication, multimedia, official automation, real-time simulation, and so forth. Developing embedded applying software need depend on strong developing tools and operating system .VxWorks is very popular one. And the developing tools Tornado is very strong. So we can use the tools to develop the application in the VxWorks easily.Based on the large-scale engineering scanner, research the use of network in the real time embedded operating system VxWorks 5.5. According to the characteristic and function requirement of the large-scale engineering scanner , design and realize network driver in the VxWorks for the Ethernet fast chip DM9000 on the RSC S3C2440A(ARM920T core) develop board. Make the control and data collect board of the scanner could use the TCP/IP protocol to transmit large data in high speed.Firstly this thesis introduces the theory and characteristics of the embedded system and does in-depth study of the use of the embedded system According to the instance of our project to do in-depth study of the VxWorks. And then, introduce the elements of the TCP/IP protocol. At last introduce the theory and functions of the Ethernet fast chip DM9000. And realize the hardware driver code for this chip. Use this code realize the END network driver in the VxWorks operating system.
