Research On Broadband PLC Access Equipment

Powerline communication is a kind of communication technologies which uses powerline to transmit data, signal and graph multimedia. At present, low rate powerline communication technologies have grown mutually. Broadband powerline communication based on low-voltage distribution network has been the hotspot of data transmission field. Powerline communication is useful for fully using powerline resource, realizing data transmission, speeding informational construction of our country. Firstly, this thesis describes some basic knowledge of powerline communication. And then, discusses the characteristics of broadband powerline channel. Based on research level of PLC channel, we mainly discuss noise over PLC, impedance characteristic and PLC channel transmission characteristic and give some models of PLC noise and channel. At last, this thesis gives the design and implementation of 14Mbps and 50Mbps broadband powerline modem, discuss main parts of modem in detail, testing the whole system based on powerline network and make a compare and analysis of the testing data.
