Research On Feasibility Of Development And Management Of Digital Library Of Tianjin Communist Party School

In the 21 century with characters of knowledge-based economy, the digital information more and more becomes the basic information which the politics, economy, and social and cultural activities rely on. The digital library is a product from the development of digitization and network, The essential feature of it is to process, store, manage and spread information resources. It realizes over-space information services by the means of multimedia access, far-away network transmit and intelligent search. The Library is an important part of teaching foundation facilities of a communist party school. The construction of modernization of the library is an important symbol for a school striding forward to network, information and digitization. Digital library is a new idea,a new practice ,a new jumping-off point, and a new development target. It's both a challenge and an opportunity for Tian Jin Communist Party school. Its purpose is to make the teaching better, serve for scientific research and the society. Digital library has been the trend of the library's development.This paper discuss the problems about the developments of digital library. There are four parts in the dissertation: the first part is a brief analysis to digital library. This part provide definition, feature and function of digital library. The second part analyses the feasibility of the development of digital library; The third part analyses the development of digital library of the Tian Jin communist party school; the last part discuss the problems about the management system of digital library.
