Multi-Electrode Array Conductance measurement technique is one of online real-time measurement methods that is widely researched in these years, its main measurement object is two-phase flow or multi-phase flow. We can obtain the characteristic parameters phase rate fraction and flow velocity of two-phase flow with the vertical multi-electrode array conductance sensors, and we can obtain others characteristic parameters of two-phase flow with further study. Firstly, this paper introduce the basic principle of the cross-correlation measurement technique and its typical measurement structure, and then give more details about the software and hardware design of the two-phase flow measurement system which based on the vertical multi-electrode array conductance sensor.The whole measurement system is provided with the functions of data acquisition, data storage, data exchange and data display, which include the exciting signal generating circuitry that is based on the DDS technique, the signal regulation circuitry, data acquisition card based on the two processors the DSP TMS320VC5402 and the Singlechip MSP430F149 and the PC control software based on the VB programme. The Dual-Port RAM is used to complete the data exchange and communication between two microprocessors.Broken through traditional mode of single processor, we complete the two-phase flow measurement system by the double processors technique combining TMS320VC5402 DSP with the Singlechip MSP430F149, which enhance the stability and real-time ability; besides, it is also a new attempt to connect TMS320VC5402 DSP and the Singlechip MSP430F149 with Dual-Port RAM. Moreover, it enhances the speed and the efficiency with the use of the cross correlation algorithm in frequency-domain instead in time-domain. We did the primary experiments in measurement of gas/water two-phase flow and oil/water two-phase flow and demonstrated the applicability of the measurement system in the conditions of laboratory.
