OFDM technology is one type of MCM(Multi-Carrier Modulation).It is divided into many orthogonal sub-carriers for Narrowband preparation and transmission in each sub-carrier to reducing mutual interference between sub-carriers. Each of the signal bandwidth of sub-carrier is less than related channel bandwidth and each sub-carrier frequency selective decline is flat, so symbol interference is greatly eliminated. OFDM is precisely because of its anti-interference capability features and become the core technology of wireless communications. This article is a clause of base band signal processor for IEEE802.11 wireless LAN chip design issue, for the parameters of the base band signal processor system, to designing and testing its experimental platform.OFDM base band signal processor is the core component of high-speed and reliable wireless communications, so testing the processor function as a chip design and its agreement consistency is very important, the subject of the experimental platform is based on research designed to achieve this demand.The structure of OFDM base band signal processor is analyzed and researched, strictly from the system needs, respectively based on the design of large-scale programmable logic device FPGA for the functional testing platform and based on PIC SCM the SPI bus structure for the register configuration platform and testing the validity of its functions.FPGA functional test platform is composed of configuration circuit, a power circuit and I/O interface circuit. SPI register configuration platform achieve RS232 interface for data transmission equipment to the SPI bus to visit and control register of the base band signal processor.
