Rating Engine In A Billing System Base On BSN With The Characters Of Multi-Business Convergence And Real-Time

China Telecom brought up the idea of Business Support Network (BSN). They use the concept of Internet to make a sketch of Business Support System, including a series of models: data model, interface and protocol module, flow and function module, network management module, etc. The new billing model based on BSN focus on satisfying the necessity of billing system. It can direct the construction of the latest generation of billing system of China Telecom, support production customer-realization, and has the characters of convergence and high-efficiency.The related theories and designing ideas are validated and realized through doing research on Rating Engine that is the nuclear module of real-time billing system based on BSN. This paper take RUP as the process outline, explain the function and resolving scheme of Rating Engine on different steps. It also gives out some ideas of implement and effect of RUP in the research of development of Rating Engine. Aiming at the hotspot and difficulty of Rating Engine, such as Pricing Reference Object, Hot billing, Duration Re-Calc and Rule Engine, the paper brings up the solving scheme innovatively. The progeny is a Rating Engine that can realize expected necessity and function and has past function test and integration test. Finally, the progeny are used in Hunan and Chongqing testing project of billing system in ZXT10 Prodigy.
