With the mobile communication industry in china becoming more mature,competition in this field turns out to be fiercer than years before. Meanwhile, themobile communication service becomes more variety, and the frequency and therange of the corresponding change in all operational standards is increasing andexpanding in order to adapt to the competitive market. However,because of its lowflexibility and the difficulty in the maintenance, the traditional billing systems forsingle business is difficult to meet the requirement of the billing of mobilecommunication. As a core part of the billing system, billing engine embodies a set ofexecution logic of the rules for the charging process, this logic provides a standardand unified representation/execution method for the processing needs in the all kindsof charging scenarios of the different business. The traditional real-time billing engine,which is too large, has been unable to carry out the flexible and effective businesslogic configuration of various businesses. In order to maintain a strong advantage inthe competition in the market, the mobile communication operators and IT expertsraised offline billing and real-time billing parallel programs to realize the flexibleconfiguration of business logic and to solve the endless business problems.For the purpose of being outstanding in the market competition, telecomoperators should adoption the billing system which achieves flexible business logicconfiguration. As a core part of billing system, logical billing engine reflect a packageof charging rules dealing with the execution of logic, which is used to execute for allkinds of billing business tasks and provides a unified method of expression.Thetraditional real-time billing engine has been unable to carry out a variety of flexibleand effective business logic configuration because it’s too large,Some researches about analysis of product category have been done. Based onthese researches Logic Billing Engine had been implemented. Domain modelingmethod, production rules, Rete match algorithm and DSL have been involved in orderto improve the efficiency of engine.As a part of the Guangzhou Municipal Science and Technology Project“mobileconvergence billing key technology research and application‖, this paper elaborate thelogic computing engine’s research and design. Specifically speaking, the main work of this paper consists of five aspects:First, common billing engine technology and related algorithms are summarizedin this paper. At same times, related principle and tools are introduced.Second, this paper describes the mobile communication products and billingproblems in the process in the actual environment and gives them formal definition.Based on these definitions, the problems of the target area (event parsing, rulesconflict) are described.This problem give solution of such problems.Third, from the perspective of the middleware, the design of the different sourcesof data is implemented and parsing database API reflects billing logic scriptinglanguage of the API. Meanwhile, in order to better serve the business personnelcarriers, reduce costs and achieve standardized configuration, this paper designsdomain-specific language specification and decision table template.Fourth, verify the engine to common questions deal with the correctness bybilling Guangdong Mobile M-Zone users’voice products.Fifth, demonstrating the logic engine application in the field of mobilecommunication value and applicability by designing a marketing-oriented mobilecommunication products analysis system.The approach mentioned in the research is significant in practice area andtheoretical research area, considering that it not only provide essential technicalsupport in the application of the mobile communication industry, but also plays animportant role in deciding the telecom marketing strategy and enhancing theefficiency and effectiveness of marketing strategy...
