Radio frequency identification (RFID) system is a high efficient information collection and identification system. It has many advantages, such as abundance of data information,high security of data,great ability of anti-EMI(Electro Magnetic Interference),short recognizing time and low cost. Therefore it is widely used in application to electronic street nameplate, to system of ticker service,to automobile management,to assembly line administration,to logistics management,to storage management, to products tracking,etc.And have got lots of successful experience in many fields all over the world.This paper is based on research and development of UHF RFID reader.Firstly,it discusses the basic composing and basic theories of RFID system, including digital coding, carrier wave modulation etc,then gives out the communication protocol of RFID system:EPC-class1b.Secondly it discusses the hardware design and software design of RFID reader based on DSP. In the hardware design,I compose DSP smallest system firstly. The I extend PWM circuit,mix voltage interface circuit,serial communication circuit and encoding/decoding circuit.In the software design,I mainly finish baseband signal encoding,decoding,serical communication parameter store and system controlling etc.I study the key technologies of RFID system at last:(1)To data integrity problem,I adopt checking table access to CRC calculation;(2)To anti-collision problem of multiple tags,I use multiple access theory , study ALOHA algorithm and Binary Search Algorithm.Then I creat a ameliorated Binary Search Algorithm related to project practice.(3)To data stream disturbing problem,I adopt hardware and software to solving problem.The reader has been used in society and its performace keep ahead in China.
