The Research On PKI Application

As the gradual improvement of the degree of the network and information's application with the whole world, the information security is paid more and more importance. The information security refers to encryption, authentication, access control, intrusion detection and so on. As the foundation of the information security, PKI has already become a hot topic in this area. This paper is devoted to research 3 main problems about PKI application, and has some new ideas in it.In the research of the PKI interoperability, this paper presents a new mixture model which based on the analysis of the existing interoperable models, then gets a new CA key update method by improving the root CA key update method mentioned in RFC2510. This method could simplify the cross authentication between PKI domains, and build trust relationship. In the research of simplifying PKI system, this paper proposes an improved PKI system based on the combine of the IBE and the one-way hash chain. This system is more flexible and more security. The cost of the certification verification and revocation in this system is much smaller than that in other PKI systems. In the research of WPKI, this paper first introduces the architecture of WPKI, and then, considering the feature of the wireless environment and mobile devices, this paper amends the existing security communication mode. The amended new mode alleviates the calculating burden of the mobile end entity. In the end, the BAN logic is used to analyze the amended communication mode, the result shows that the new mode is secure.
